About Us
A half-century later, Joseph’s daughter, Andrea Connolly, took up the aviation baton. While her father had spent his youth keeping military aircraft operational, Andrea would spend hers working at companies that build and support those military aircraft. In 1995, she joined the Aerospace and Defense Division of Texas Instruments. Her role on the Human Resources team at TI introduced her to Motorola’s Six Sigma methodology, Lean Manufacturing and high-performance teams. During her tenure at TI and later Raytheon, she helped to improve operational efficiency and build teams delivering state of the art weapons systems, radars and surveillance systems to the warfighter, the U.S. Military, and its allies.
Andrea realized her true mission and passion—helping product teams and leaders drive operational excellence and deliver world-class technology and systems to customers. She put that passion into play at world class companies where she met Ed Hoffman and Grace Moniz who shared that vision. In 2014, Cadence Organization Design was born.
Our Story
On a November morning in 1941, a young man named Joseph went into town to visit the local Army recruiting station. Enlisting in the Army Air Corp, he joined his sister and 3 brothers, serving their country. Joseph shipped out to England where the bombing campaign against Fortress Europe was well under way. Based in Burtonwood, England, Joseph spent the following years as a master aviation mechanic, helping keep the bombers and fighters of the 8th Air Force operational and ready to go at a moment’s notice.

With extensive experience in Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness, Andrea helps zero-in on the key opportunities for improvement that will move the business forward. Her executive leadership experience at companies like Texas Instruments, Raytheon, L-3 and Yahoo! provide the practical, operational knowledge needed to understand her customers unique challenges.
Andrea has led major transformation initiatives for companies at every stage of the business life cycle. She led Leadership Development for Raytheon’s Government and Defense business; acquisition integration for Texas Instruments, Yahoo! and L-3; and enterprise-wide operational excellence implementations. She has earned a reputation as the ‘go-to’ for start-ups like Rehab Systems and Raytheon’s DD(X) program, which evolved into a key component of the Zumwalt class of destroyers for the United States Navy.
Andrea has held a secret government clearance during her career.

Grace Moniz has 30+ years helping organizations develop more effective leaders and teams. Grace is known for her uncanny ability to recognize potential and coach for it; to provoke ideas and challenge ways of thinking; and to masterfully facilitate large groups. Her experience spans the aerospace, healthcare, higher education, consumer products and air transportation industries from entrepreneurial businesses to major corporations. Grace holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership, is a Board-Certified Coach, and a founding member of the Institute of Coaching.
